Engage politicians

Find out who your public representatives are at the appropriate level – Councillors, MLAs, MPs and MEPs - and contact them to let them know that you are there, tell them what your interests or concerns are, and ask for their support. If you can get the support of politicians from more than one party, and ideally get cross-party support, this can prevent your issue from becoming a political football and you are more likely to see an agreed solution.
